You Shall Not Plow With an Ox and a Donkey Together
The Reason for the Prohibition in Deuteronomy 22:10

In the last post (here), I talked about the underlying lessons regarding holiness that we can discern in the Torah laws. The ceremonial instructions serve this end. The agricultural instructions serve this end. The Israelites were to be a holy people, and their holy lives would bear various distinctions.
So, no biblical command was arbitrary. When Moses said, “You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together” (Deut. 22:10), he—once again—was teaching them about holiness.
Let’s think about the importance and application of this prohibition.
