Sometime after the birth of Jesus, magi from the east came to see him. A certain star helped them on their journey, and eventually they arrived in the land of Israel. They didn’t come emptyhanded. The magi traveled with at least three gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh—gifts fit for a king.
