We’re a few days into the fourth month of 2023, so that means there are three months of essays archived on this Biblical Theology site. I’ve had a blast writing them! And I’m just getting warmed up. After all, the Bible is inexhaustible.
My rhythm has been to publish articles on Mondays and Thursdays for free subscribers, and my plan is to continue this rhythm. Thank you so much for reading these, and I hope they’ve been an encouragement to you as we think about Scripture together. Many of you have been sharing these articles so that others can be aware of Biblical Theology resources, and I’m grateful for that support.
During these months I haven’t elaborated on any other support options, but I will do so now that we’re in month four. Here’s what I mean: another way to encourage and support writers on Substack is by becoming a paid subscriber. Now obviously, we can’t pay for subscriptions to every outlet we read. But if you’ve been a Biblical Theology reader and plan to continue being one, would you consider a paid subscription? Here’s the lowdown on that:
For $7 a month (or for a discounted annual subscription of $75), you’ll get access to all paid posts and can join the Biblical Theology comment sections on all posts so that you can share your thoughts or questions and can interact with the content.
For $20 a month, you’ll be a Founding Member. Founding Members will have the option to participate in online group video chats to discuss the biblical topics YOU want to talk about. Furthermore, some Founding Members might be writers themselves who are looking for feedback on what they’re producing, and you can email me things for feedback if you think that would be helpful.
You always retain the option to cancel your paid monthly subscription, so feel free to try it out for a season. I’m hoping, though, that you’ll stick around. I don’t want to waste any of your time or money. My aim is for this Biblical Theology site to be the kind of thing you’ll want to read and support.
Starting next week, I’ll begin releasing essays on the Song of Songs for paid subscribers. The Song of Songs is theologically rich and beautiful, it has certainly been interpreted in controversial ways, and it remains one of the most intriguing books throughout church history and up to the present day. I’d be honored if you joined me on the journey of thinking through the Song of Songs. Starts next week for paid subscribers!
Thanks again for reading my newsletter. Your support and encouragement are so meaningful, and I’m blessed to write on subjects I love.
May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus be with you and upon you!
