The Lord promised the Israelites that he would give them victory over the inhabitants of Canaan. The promised land would belong to Abraham’s offspring, and no warriors or fortresses would keep God from keeping his promise.
Prior to entering Canaan, the Israelites were given foretastes of the conquest. These foretastes were victories over kings named Sihon and Og. Let’s talk about Og, whose bed was 13.5 feet long and 6 feet wide. Seriously: what in the world!
