One of the most famous lines in the book of Joshua is found in Joshua 24:15: “Choose this day whom you will serve. . . . But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” These words appear on wall art, t-shirts, and bumper stickers. But these words were first part of a farewell speech that Joshua gave to Israel’s leaders.
